Tournament Overview
This tournament is designed for intermediate to advanced players. Players will be grouped based on their attendance order, but if a participant shares their ranking number in the group discussion in the Waimut App, they will be placed in a group with other advanced players. This ensures a balanced and competitive experience for everyone.

- Time: 1:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
- Location: Walnut Creek Bay Club
- Registration Cost: $10
- Cash Prize: Top 10 players will receive cash prizes, and the top 5 will also get a Bay Club guest pass.
- Additional Prize: The top 3 winners can use the Bay Club facilities for one day, free of charge.
- Participants: Up to 42 players, grouped based on attendance order. Players who share their ranking number will be placed together for more competitive matches.
Format
- Group Stage: Players will compete in one set to 11 points matches in a round-robin format.
- Knockout Stage: The top 2 players from each group advance to a single-elimination knockout round.
- No divisions by skill level, but players with ranking numbers will be grouped together for more competitive play.
- Equipment: Paddles and balls provided, but feel free to bring your own!
Registration
Players will be grouped based on their attendance order and ranking information, if provided. First-come, first-served!
Group Stage Setup (1:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.)
- 39-42 players will be divided into 8 groups of 4 or 5 players.
- Each player will play 4 matches in the group stage.
- Matches will include a 2-3 minute warm-up followed by 10 minutes for the actual game.
- 4 tables will be available, with matches played simultaneously.
Group Divisions by Attendance Numbers:
- Group 1: Players 1-5 (may include advanced players if they share ranking numbers)
- Group 2: Players 6-10
- Group 3: Players 11-15
- Group 4: Players 16-20
- Group 5: Players 21-25
- Group 6: Players 26-30
- Group 7: Players 31-35
- Group 8: Players 36-39

Knockout Stage (6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.)
- The top 2 players from each group will advance to the knockout stage, resulting in 16 players.
- The knockout stage will be a single-elimination tournament.
- Each match will have a 2-3 minute warm-up, followed by 10 minutes for the actual game.
Prizes
Waimut App and its sponsors generously provide the prize pool, with no connection to the Bay Club. The Waimut App will match the $10 participation fee for each player with an additional $10.
- 1st Place: 22% of the total prize pool
- 2nd Place: 17% of the total prize pool
- 3rd Place: 12% of the total prize pool
- 4th to 10th Place: 7% each
- The top 5 winners will also receive a free one-day pass to use all Bay Club facilities.
Friendly Rules
This is a friendly tournament, and although most of the rules will follow official table Tennis guidelines, we will not strictly enforce all of them. Service rules may be relaxed to accommodate players, especially those who may be less experienced.

Event Organizer Authority
The event organizer reserves the right to change the schedule or modify any event details to ensure that the tournament runs smoothly and stays within the allocated time. All participants are expected to follow any schedule adjustments made by the organizer to keep the event on track.
